Name: St Ives BID Jubilee Window Design
Details: Do you want to promote your business and join in the Platinum Jubilee celebrations planned in the town? Then why not join in with a window competition. BID is offering businesses support to decorate your windows, and Jo Macintosh will be walking around town to have a chat with you and see if you’d like to take part. Details: Looking for something extra special to do for the Jubilee weekend? St Ives Churches present a fantastic opportunity to dine in an environment fit for the Queen. The Victorian church of St John’s provides the perfect backdrop for an evening banquet followed by a concert of regal music given by “Resurgam” choir. Expect to hear such classics as “Zadok the Priest”, “Jerusalem”, “I was Glad” and the specially composed Jubilee anthem “A Life Lived With Grace.” With a sumptuous menu and delicious drinks on offer as well as table service, you’ll almost feel like you’re at Buckingham Palace! The flags will be flying and we’re encouraging you to wear your glad rags. There’ll be a chance to dance to end the night.
10am – 11pm: All Day Big Lunch (St Ives BID and Wharf Road Businesses)
Location: Wharf Road
Details: St Ives BID will be hosting a Jubilee Big Lunch street party on the Wharf on Sunday 5th June and would like to invite businesses, residents and visitors to take part and have some fun. Wharf Road will be closed from 08:30 – 23:00 to traffic and table and chair available for you to use – residents, fishermen, businesses and essential traffic will be directed along Fore Street (one way will be reversed). BYO food or buy from the many restaurants and takeaways around the town. Details: We’ll be singing her favourite hymn. Afterwards you can enjoy a picnic on the church lawn and singing from St Ives Churches together. Bring your own picnic, Pimms and Prosecco available to buy. At 1.30pm there will be free cream teas and at 2pm Song’s of Praise.
