On Monday 26 July, the longstanding traditional Knill Ceremony will take place in the town. The ceremony involves the Mayor’s speech and presentations at the Guildhall, followed by a procession from the Guildhall to the Malakoff (via St Andrews Street, High Street, Tregenna Place and Tregenna Hill). The official party then continues to the Knill Steeple, returning to the town to conclude the ceremony.
There will be some disruption to traffic in this area of the town from around 11.00 am to 11.20am, and again for the return procession from around 12.50pm to 1.00pm.
We apologise in advance for any disruption this may cause you but will endeavour to keep this disruption to a minimum.
This event has taken place once every five years for over 200 years and brings a community benefit to the area which we hope you will feel able to enjoy.
