Youth Engagement & Projects Officer £28,770-£29,777
Contract: 2 years initial contract, capable of being extended
Hours: 37 hours a week – talk to us about job share or flexible working arrangements
Location: Flexible – be based at St Ives Guildhall, work from home or other town locations
This role has been funded by Town Deal, to work with all the projects and ensure young people benefit from the regeneration projects taking place and are more involved. You will also help to co-ordinate and plan wider youth activities and engagement across the parish. Part of your role will be to identify more opportunities and resources for local youth projects and ensure that Town Deal funding brings about lasting impact for younger generations.
We are looking for someone with a special blend of skills. Passionate about working with young people with a track record of building close relationships within local or community projects. You are a strong communicator, confident working at a strategic level across different kinds of organisations. You are creative and proactive in finding innovative solutions and can show you have run projects successfully.

Hours: 22 hours a week – talk to us about flexible working arrangements
Location: Based at St Ives Guildhall
Working alongside the existing team, you will provide a warm welcome for all visitors to the Guildhall. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Council’s reception, dealing with enquiries, comments and complaints and ensuring that customers’ queries are resolved as efficiently and courteously as possible including signposting to other organisations and services.
We are looking for a confident problem solver and a skilled user of Microsoft office. You are able to think on your feet and work well in a busy fast paced environment. You are fully committed to great customer service with strong empathy and communication skills with a commitment to team working.
