We are pleased to welcome back Citizens Advice to the St Ives Library & Information Centre. Face to face advice sessions will be starting from Tuesday 9th November between 10am and 1pm. Initially the advice sessions will be on alternate Tuesdays, as previously, but if there is a demand the frequency may change to weekly. Anyone wishing to use the service can simply call in during these times and will be seen on a first come first served basis.
About Citizens Advice
Citizens Advice is a charity providing free, independent and confidential advice on a wide range of subjects for everyone in the community. Help and advice is provided in relation to consumer issues, benefits, debt, work, housing, family and relationships, law and courts, immigration and health.
If anyone wishes to get help from Citizens Advice you can also do so online by visiting their website. This has a lot of useful information about many of the issues people come to us with. It’s a great place to start when you have a problem you’re not sure how to handle. There is also a webchat facility that allows you to talk directly online with an adviser. You can also Text the word ADVICE to 78866 or for debt inquiries, text DEBT to 78866 and we’ll call you back within 48 hours (excluding weekends). And of course you can call us free on 0800-144-8848 Mon-Fri 10am-4pm.
Its invaluable having a number of ways of getting help from Citizens Advice and it will be particularly beneficial for those who wish to have a face to face, free, confidential interview with an adviser.
