Doing Business with the Council
The Town Council is a local council, but it has an annual budget of almost £1 million. It manages a number of local services and buildings and frequently needs to commission technical advice and hire local contractors. The Council’s policy is to source local labour and services, wherever possible. There are many benefits in working with the Town Council
- We have a transparent streamlined procurement process and can make quick decisions about contracts
- We support small businesses through our rapid 14 day payment policy
- We are a small friendly client and like to build close and long term relationships with our suppliers
We are always looking for skilled local contractors and partners. Examples of work which we let under contract include toilet cleaning, grass cutting, street weeding and playground inspection, technical trades (roofing, plumbing, electrical services), compliance (fire, alarms inspections), property related professionals, legal services, waste collection, valuation, training and consultancy.
If you’re interested in working with us in the future, a list of future opportunities is set out below. Or, if you’re a tradesman or supplier, you can complete an expression of interest form to be added to our approved contractors list, Click the button below and fill out the form.
