Originally a school until 1940, the Town Council now runs the Island Centre as a community and commercial space. The hall is a flexible space, which can be hired for a wide range of social and community events (seated capacity 75) from children’s parties to painting classes. Added to this it is within walking distance of the Island and the landmark Island Chapel.
