Public & Memorial Benches

There are over 200 public benches in the parish of St Ives. St Ives has taken over the ownership and management of the benches from Cornwall Council and is undertaking a programme of maintenance and replacement.

To contact us to report a problem or ask us to replace a bench, use the report it form below.

Memorial Benches

Many benches in the parish are known as memorial benches and they have a dedication to a friend or loved one. Dedications help the Council to fund repairs and replacements to public benches.

To find out more about purchasing a memorial bench dedication, you can download a copy of the Council’s policy and pricing document. If you would like to be added to the memorial bench waiting list, which is processed in date order, you can complete a waiting list form. Once the Council has contacted you about an available bench or plot, we will ask you to complete a full application form.
