Carbis Bay

Carbis Bay Beach St Ives

The mile long stretch of beach is about a mile from the centre of St Ives. It has very little surf so is especially family friendly and great for swimming. It has been made a little bit more famous in 2021 as the location for the G7 summit of world leaders who enjoyed a beach barbeque on the sand. You can walk across the sands to Porth Kidney and an important RSPB sanctuary. As in many areas, parking is limited but this beach can be accessed from the scenic branchline service from St Erth to St Ives.
