The well (venton in Cornish) is idyllically positioned above St Ives’ surf beach, Porthmeor. An ancient wishing well and it was a source of fresh water for those living in the area. The well plays an integral role in the unique St Ives tradition of Feast Day which is held annually at the beginning of February.
