On Remembrance Sunday, services are held at St Uny Church in Lelant and St Ia Church, St Ives. Remembrance Parades are organised by the St Ives Royal British Legion, meeting at the St Ives Guildhall and include musicians, the uniformed organisations including ex-service personnel, the RNLI, police and fire services, with local scouts, guides and cadets, followed by the Mayoral party of town councillors and town organisations.

At the War Memorial the St Ives Royal British Legion lead the proceedings, with wreaths laid by the Mayor and then all the organisations represented. Two minutes of silence is observed to remember all who had been killed or injured in conflict, together with the sounding of the Last Post.

Royal British Legion (St Ives Branch) Remembrance Sunday Parade & Church Services 
Sunday 10th November 2024

10.40 a.m.  The Royal British Legion, St Ives
Town Council and other organisations will assemble at The Guildhall, Street An Pol, St Ives.
10.50 a.m.  The Parade will proceed to the War Memorial via Tregenna Place and High Street.
11.00 a.m.  The two minutes silence, laying of wreaths.
11.15 a.m. (approx.)  Parade to proceed to St Ives Parish Church, St Andrews Street, for the Service of Remembrance. After the Service, the Parade will return to the Guildhall for the National Anthem.

Lelant

9.25 a.m.  Remembrance Day Service at St Uny Church.
10.00 a.m. Laying of Wreaths at the 1914/18 and 1939/45 War Memorials within the Church.
10.30 a.m. The Assembly will proceed to the War Memorial.
11.00 a.m. The two minutes silence and laying of Wreaths.
