Palemon Best Park is to receive some essential works and upgrades to the play areas over the next few months.
The wider park has been subject to some upgrades in recent years, which include creating a state-of-the-art skate park, as well as installing essential facilities such as a water refill station and a composting toilet.
The play park has been cared for and repaired over the years although had reached a point where it needed more significant investment through replacement of key pieces of equipment. Some of the larger pieces will receive replacement components to give them a new lease of life, while other items beyond saving will be replaced, which includes the mini play unit and the 30m cable wire.
Construction is scheduled to begin on Friday 26th September, with completion targeted for November 2025. As well as the play equipment repair and replacement, appointed play specialists, TK Play, will also be installing new high quality safety surfacing.
While the play area will be closed for the duration of the works, the wider park will remain open to the public.
