The town council is thrilled and excited to share the news that the Government have approved funding from the Town Deal for the St Ives skate park project. This provides all of the funds needed to deliver a cutting edge concrete designed park to rival the best in Europe. It will be delivered on Palémon Best land which the Town Council owns in trust. This means the project will start on site this year, 2020.
Councillor Ron Tulley chair of the trustees of the park said:
“The skate park group have worked tirelessly for over 3 years towards this. They have raised significant funds and kept their dream going. The Town Council is happy to be playing a part through match funding and overseeing the construction and will look after the park when built”
