Notice is hereby given that St Ives Town Council proposes to make a new Order, pursuant to Section 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, to be known as the St Ives Town Council (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2025.
The proposed Order will include provisions in relation to the Sloop Carpark, St Ives with the changes to the management arrangements and charging structure, as set out, and detailed in the draft order.

The primary purpose of the proposed order is to transfer the ownership and management of the carpark from Cornwall Council to St Ives Town Council.
This is due to come into force from the 1st of April 2025.
- The Sloop carpark will continue to operate as a short stay Parking Place
- Operation of the carpark will be for all days and all hours, throughout the year
- The introduction of new tariffs will apply
This Notice is intended to provide an indication of the Order’s provisions and to seek the views of the public and other interested parties. A copy of the draft Order may be inspected or viewed online or at St Ives Town Council library or Guildhall reception (please check for reception opening times)
