We are looking for an energetic and inspiring individual with the commitment and drive to manage the Cornerstone and continue its development as a multi-use town library, community learning and creative space.
Open and accessible to all, the Cornerstone aims to provide services which the community wants and needs, supported by high quality commercial services to sustain its future. The library is at the heart of the building, together with meeting and study space to offer engaging activities, events, education, advice and training. The building also hosts our town box office, visitor information and shop.
About You
- You are passionate about St Ives and providing services for the community
- You are highly organised and have a proven track record in running a business, service or building
- You have experience in working for a library or in similar setting and have a love of books, learning, knowledge
- You have retail or commercial know-how, ideally with experience running a customer facing business
- You are an individual with creative flair and can bring knowledge or experience in the areas of promotion, advertising, marketing visual merchandising or design
- You are a people person, committed to partnership and working in mixed teams to find shared solutions
- You enjoy a challenge and can work at pace
- You are highly literate and numerate and able to manage budgets, develop work and project plans, write reports and promotional material.

The Role
This is a full-time role, 37 hours a week, rotated across the week with alternate Saturday working.
