St Ives kicks off the festive season with Father Christmas arriving by Lifeboat in St Ives Harbour on Friday 5th December at 5.30pm, followed by the official Christmas Light switch-on. This is an event the whole community looks forward to each year, thanks to the combined efforts of St Ives In December and our wonderful St Ives RNLI, with support from St Ives Town Council.
The boat launch will be at 5:30pm at West Pier and there will be plenty of photo opportunities to capture the big man himself. Once the RNLI bring Santa safely back to dry land, there will be a short procession as Santa takes to his sleigh for the short journey to Royal Square for the Christmas light switch on.
As with previous years, there will be lots festivities to enjoy to get you into the Christmas spirit and more details will be announced soon on the St Ives In December website.
We look forward to seeing you for a wonderfully festive evening!
