On Wednesday, 5th July, there will be a consultation event held in the park, between 9:30am and 2:30pm where you can see the proposals and share your thoughts.
Richmond Gardens is an open space within Carbis Bay that features play equipment and areas of grass and there are plans to invest in this space, looking at refreshing the play equipment with a natural focus, combined with playful landforms and planting to engage a wide range of users with both purpose build equipment and natural elements in a vibrant new space.
This investment was prompted by action from a focus group in Carbis Bay keen to enrich the local area and provide access to a thriving green space for all members of the community.
Earlier in the year, the ideas of the focus group were shared with Truro based parks specialist, Mei Loci, who have worked on many successful projects in Cornwall, and they have been able to create a master plan of the space which will be on display for you to view.
Richmond Gardens in Carbis Bay, is a park that’s part of the devolution package, agreed recently by St Ives Town Council and Cornwall Council, which will protect and enhance 46 spaces and buildings in the parish of St Ives.
The St Ives Town Council & Mei Loci teams will be under the stretch tent with the proposals for you to view plus tea and coffee available whilst you chat.
