Following the successful completion of roofing works and repairs to the library building on Gabriel Street, the scaffolding company will begin to dismantle the scaffolding on Saturday 1st of July. They will be working from 7am to midday Saturday and will re-commence on Monday 3rd until the end of Wednesday 5th July.
We hope that the removal of the scaffold will be positive news, given the impact on this busy junction of the town. However, due to the health and safety considerations, it will be necessary to close the Library and Information Service for the duration of the work.
We will continue to operate a skeleton visitor information service from the Guildhall reception during the closure.
We apologise once again for the disruption caused during the completion of these critical works and everyone for their patience.
